To be a good dental assistant, you should be detail oriented and good at working with your hands. You will need to follow precise protocols, and you will work with your hands in tight spaces. You should also be a good communicator as well as a good listener. You will work directly with patients on a daily basis so a calm, friendly demeanor is a must. It's important to have great organizational skills as well.

We offer THREE flexible education options.
Accelerated Online is 100% online with no in-person requirement. Your support will be available (via email) to answer any questions you may have and to provide feedback on your performance.
One-One-One Clinical Skills are scheduled following completion Accelerated Online option. Students attend one 9-hour class on select Fridays each month. Your support will be available (via email) to answer any questions you may have and to provide feedback on your performance.
Comprehensive Skills Option is as follows:
We don’t accept financial aid, but it's with your best interest in mind! Our goal is to create an opportunity for those who desire to enter the dental field without the added burden of student debt. In order to accept financial aid, we'd have to raise our tuition fees dramatically and this doesn't align with our student first philosophy. Since our courses are considered non-credit, they do not qualify for federal aid, FAFSA, and Pell Grant. Some students do qualify for tribal education assistance.

All dental applicants must submit an application that includes a background check to the Board of Dentistry. We facilitate the application process during enrollment and cover fees for submission for our Comprehensive Skills Option. All applicants who pass the background check are issued a license from the Board of Dentistry.
Our courses will provide you the the skills you need to obtain an entry-level position in most cases. Potential students should always do research on the job market in their area before enrolling.
Yes, a dental assistant can become a dental hygienist by earning an associate or bachelor's degree in dental hygiene and passing the appropriate state-mandated licensing exams. If you are considering a future career as a dental hygienist, becoming a dental assistant is a great way to get into the industry and gain some experience while you earn your degree.
